This was a really good sequel, that i really enjoyed. Its all about Nikki trying to find Jack who was taken by the tunnels in the last one when he sacrificed himself for her. Nikki is desperate for a way and needs Cole's help in order to reach Jack.

Most of the book takes place in the Everneath, and i found learning about it and seeing their world in more detail really cool. It was quite different to how i expected and i hope we get to delve more into it and their mythology in the next one.

Jack is absent for most of the book, but it doesn't feel that way, as there are lots of flashbacks, and various memories of Jack and Nikki that we get to read about. Its also good as we get to see the start of their romance and their first kiss and stuff that i always love reading about.

I liked Cole in this book; we get to see a different - sweeter and caring side of him. I even felt a little sorry for him at some points but he really annoyed me at the end. I wish he hadnt done what he did as thats just gonna make Nikki hate him. Despite all this, i still prefer him to Jack as i just find him more interesting and hope he gets a proper shot with her.

The cliffhanger is MASSIVE! It ends with a GIGANTIC twist that i didnt see coming a mile away. I m sure it will make things really interesting in the sequel and i cant wait to read it.

Apollyon (Covenant, #4) by Jennifer L. Armentrout

Another incredible book in the Covenant series that I immensely enjoyed. The story keeps getting more and more interesting and has ended on a note that will no doubt make for an amazing conclusion.

Alex is still under Seth’s influence at the start, and I was kinda worried it would stay that way for a while, but thankfully, she goes back to her normal self pretty soon. However, the parts before made me quite sick when she referred to Seth as “my Seth” which just made me wanna barf. Apart from that, Alex is great in this book; she’s still snarky as ever but maturing quite quickly and not making dumb mistakes anymore that she used to.

Aiden is cute as ever. Their romance gets even steamier and i didn’t think that was possible after the last book. They are just such an adorable couple and i loved reading their moments together. I loved how protective and supportive Aiden was of her and didn’t give up on her the entire time.

Seth isn’t that much in this book, mostly he just has random conversations with Alex through their bond. He annoyed me soo much and we find out even more stuff he did that made me wanna rip off his head. I understood why Alex was still hoping for him to turn good, but it still pissed me off. He is way past the point of return and i don’t have much hope for him.

Apollo is still one of my favourite characters and i just love reading about him and seeing his different sides. The other main characters also return and are there for pretty much the whole book.

We get to see the underworld in this book, which was probably my favourite part and made me really excited. We also get to meet a lot of dead characters and also some new gods. The big question about Seth’s bloodline is answered and its revealed who is behind Seth and Lucian’s plan. This was a big shocker for me and will take you by surprise too.

There is tonnes of action in this that i thoroughly enjoyed and the cliff-hanger has me anxious for the next book. After reading apollyon, I know that the conclusion is going to be epic and I will be counting down days till I get the chance to read it. This is one of my all time favourite series and i know everyone's gonna love it

That was an epic conclusion to an epic series - one that i will miss forever. It was great with a perfect balance of romance, action, humor and tears.

Clara is in Stanford, along with Angela and Christian trying to get used to her new life without Tucker, Jeffrey and her mum. She is also having another vision, that includes her and Christian and indicates something bad that's about to happen. This all leads to lots of stuff that i wont give away.

I was annoyed with Clara at the end of Hallowed for leaving Tucker and i still was but i did kind of understand why she was giving Christian a chance even if i didnt like it. I just wanted to shout at her the whole time to go back to Tucker! He still loves her. She still loves him and i just kept waiting for the moment where they both admitted it. Tucker and Clara are just sooooo adorable together and even though it takes them a while to make up, it was really cute when they finally did.

Despite being 100% TEAM TUCKER, i do like Christian and honestly felt a bit sorry for him. Its not really his fault that he loves Clara and i wished he would find someone else to be happy with.

Angela has quite a big part in the plot and i liked her ok. We get to see a bit of Wendy as well. I knew Phen would come back in this and he does. I still dont really know what to make of him and he's just totally shady. Jeffrey shows a lot sooner than i expected which wad good. Samjeeza and Michael are in it as well who i really like.

The plot was great, with lots of twists that made me go "WOAH!" and you wont see it coming either. Towards the ending, there was a scene that made me cry but thankfully the ending was good and i was really happy with it. I m totally SAD! I m gonna miss reading about Tucker and Clara so much and this has been one of my fav series!

I was absolutely ecstatic when i got a chance to read this! I had been dying to read it so i did a little happy dance when i got it! :D This book was utter perfection and had everything i wanted. The romance, the action, he suspense is all kicked up a notch. And Sydrian will make you swoon your pants off! The wedding was awesome and we do get a sydrian dance!!! We also get to see rose and Dimitri and the rest of the gang.

The story starts off with Sydney looking for Marcus Finch, the mysterious ex-alchemist who has been on the run from them. He shows up quite quickly in the book and i was really excited about learning about his character. There is also Veronica, Ms Terwilliger's evil sister who is using magic to take young witches' powers to keep herself young. With all this going on, Syndey has a lot on her plate.

I have always loved Sydney and she has been one of my favourite protagonists, and i continued to love her in this more and more. She shows so much development; the girl who used to think vampires were evil is completely gone and she has started to question the things she was taught and wondering if the alchemists are really sincere with her. If you didnt like her before, you are bound to now.

Adrian was as amazing and perfect as ever. I just wanna grab him and hug him and kiss him and never let go. He says the cutest things that always make me laugh out loud or melt into a puddle. I honestly dont know how Sydney manages to resist him for as long as she does. I would have fallen at his feet and worshiped him. He has changed in this too. He hardly gets drunk and is more responsible without losing the ivashkov charm.

The romance was definitely my favourite part in this book. It starts off with Sydney still in denial while Adrian is trying not to push her so she comes around on her own. The whole time i was impatiently waiting for the moment when sydney would realise that she is in love with him too and sometimes i wanted to kill her for keep pushing Adrian away! They have a lot of their usual banter and some flirty moments too. They do have LOTS of makeout sessions that got me all hot and bothered (though they dont have sex) and you will definitely not be disappointed.

Eddie, Jill and Angeline also return upto their usual shenanigans. They dont play massive parts in the plot but their presence makes the book more enjoyable, full of hilarious moments. Ian is also in it and there were lots of parts where i did wanna smack him but i was still happy to see him. Trey sadly wasnt in it that much and their friendship is a bit tainted by what happened before but i still love him and hope to see tonnes of him later.

Marcus is the main new character and i knew i would love him. He is charming and flirty and made the book more interesting. I was really excited about finding more about the indigo tattoo and the rebellion. There are more people who are part of it and they offer Sydney to join and break away from the alchemists. He was a great addition and i hope he is part of future books.

We also find out more about the alchemists and how evil they truly are and i am sure it will play a bigger part later. Sydney also gets better with magic and not just her own. She is now comfortable with vampire magic too. The plot was great with lots of twists and turns that you wont see coming. The cliffhanger wasnt what i expected at all and i am curious to see how that will change things in the next one.


This was truly an AMAZING book and everyone needs to read it!

The sequel was okay. It didnt pull me in right away and i was a bit confused about what was going on for the first part as i had forgotten the events of the last book, so it took me a while to get into it.

Charlie is now queen but has the spirit of the old queen imprisoned in her body. The is quite a hard situation for her and i felt sorry for her. She seemed more or less the same to me in this book as the last one with no particular character development.

Max unfortunately who i did really like before was hardly in this book and i felt his absence throughout the entire book. This also meant that the romance was non-existent which is another thing that annoyed me.

The plot was good, mostly revolving around Charlie coping with becoming queen and the enemies out to get her. There is more action is this one than the last one which you'll enjoy.

There is a new character called Niko who i had mixed feelings about. He may or may not be a love interest in the next book and i really hope he isnt. Zafir, Aron, Brook are all back and all have massive roles in the book.

There is sort of a cliffhanger but nothing too massive. Overall, it was a good book but not as interesting as i wanted it to be.

Sky was a cool character and likable. She was adopted when she was little and doesnt really know much about her past. Holder feels like he knows her from before even though she has no recollection of ever meeting him. This intrigued me and i really wanted to know the reason behind it.

Holder was totally amazing and i loved the relationship between them. I thought it was a bit quick but didn't feel forced or anything. Holder has his own secrets and past that come to light and give us more insight into his personality.

The plot was good, though a bit slow paced at times. It gets really interesting towards the end and i was completely hooked. Overall, it was a good, enjoyable book and i would recommend it to romance lovers

The conclusion to the matched series is finally here and it has a satisfying end. We've seen the rising and the society at war and the rebellion beginning and now it has reached its climax. Their world is pretty much in chaos. The rising has started invading their society and people have started picking sides. If that's not enough, there is also a fatal plague emerging that could potentially wipe them all out.

Cassia, Ky, Xander and Indie are all working for the rising now. I have liked Cassia before and she's still the same. I liked that she took a lot of action in this and did what she believed was right. Xander who is my favourite character in the series is a lot in this unlike the last one. We also get to see his POV which was good and gave us insight into his head.

Ky and Caasia are still in love and its pretty obvious that they're gonna end up together from the start so i was glad that the love triangle wasnt dragged too much. Even though i like Xander more, i think Ky and Cassia are better for each other and glad they were together at the end.

Indie is a lot in it too. I always found her ok - never liked her too much. She just kinda annoys me for some reason and continued to in this. I always noticed something between Indie and KY and wasnt sure if it was just my imagination but its confirmed in this. I m glad that Ky didnt really cheat on Cassia or anything but Indie was just getting on my nerves. First, she was in love with Xander and then she's after Ky.

The plot was good and a lot of stuff goes down. Most of it revolves around the plague. There are some new characters and some old ones come back like Eli and Hunter. I wont tell you how everything ends and if the rising manages to defeat the Society but i will tell you that its a great conclusion where everything is resolved, all the loose strings from previous books are tied and it will satisfy the fans

Evie is a loud, wild and crazy flapper. She is exiled to New york after she takes things too far one evening. She also happens to be a diviner - people with special powers - and can read objects and their owner's secrets just by holding them. I liked her alright but not too much. She was really spunky and quite funny but a bit too obnoxious at times. She was also a famewhore and made a joke out of murders that really got on my nerves. On the other hand, she becomes more likable as the book progresses. ~What i did really like about her was that she was very independent and confident and kickass and overall made a good heroine.

Other main characters include Will who is her uncle and own a museum of creepy crawlies. He was quite interesting and i wanna know more about it. There is Jerciho who is very serious and mysterious and works with her uncle. Sam is a guy Evie encounters there who pick pockets her but then later become friends with her. He sort of likes her too but that isnt developed enough in this book. The romance is very slow and a very small part of this but i m sure will be more in the sequels.

The killer is Naughty John. He was extremely creepy, especially with that creepy song he sang. All of his murders are written about and were extremely scary and gory. He is trying to complete a ritual to raise a beast that i wont tell you too much about but i found really interesting.

The plot was good and well paced with a really great climax. There were also other things that were brought up that i really wanna know about in the sequel. Overall, i think this is the start of a great series and i would highly recommend it.

I shook my head, glad we’d almost reached our destination. I didn’t know how much more I could listen to. “This is the most ridiculous advice I’ve ever heard. It’s also kind of sexist too, but I can’t decide who it offends more, men or women.”

Together we’re stronger... and they know it

Another absolutely amazing book by Jennifer. I love everything about this series so i was ecstatic when i finally got the sequel. I had missed Daemon and Katy and getting to read about them again was like meeting old friends. Dawson is back, however he isnt really right in the head at the moment. He wants to get Beth back and that is where their next mission starts.

The plot was good as always. We learn more about the luxen mythology, including what opals are and what they can do which i always find interesting. This book keeps you guessing with its plot twists and one massive twist that had me completely shocked. Some new characters are thrown into the mix that u dont know whether to trust or not and some old ones are back who may or may not be on your side. Blake is back who is even more creepy in this and some of the things he did really revolted me.

KAty and Daemon are going strong - they are finally together and the heat keeps building up. I loved them in this as they arent constantly bickering or denying their feelings like in the previous ones and u get to see a slightly different side to their relationship. Their scenes always make me swoon or laugh out loud and are extremely entertaining. Katy annoys me sometimes when she gets insecure over Ash and her jealousy seemed stupid to me. Its so obvious Daemon loves her and not Ash. Daemon is comepletely awesome and i love his one liners. He is still HOT and protective and awesome and i just love him to bits.

Dee is in this a lot more than the last one which was good, however at the start, Katy and her are going throguh a rough patch after what went down with Adam in the last one. Other characters like Will and Simon have small parts too that finally answer your questions about their fate.

Their is a cliffhanger and its definitely pretty big and will leave you anxious for the next one. I immensely enjoyed reading this and i know everyone else will too.

i really enjoyed reading this. Getting to read angels's pov was interesting. We also get to meet phen who i have mixed feelings about and i think will hav a prt to play in boundless. I was hoping to see tucker in it so am kinda sad but still really liked it.

I love Andrew! he was sooo HOT! The romance in it was so steamy but nor rushed at all. It starts off slow and then turns into attraction and then lust and finally love and it was great seeing the characters go through that journey.

Andrew was amazing! i want a piece of him. He was funny and confident without being arrogant and so so sweet. Cam was also a great characater who was relatable and totally likable. I felt sorry for both of them and their back stories and that made their story even more interesting.

The plot was good eventhough i thought it got slightly slow near the end and i wanted something massive to happen but it didnt disappoint. Some parts made me sad, some made me swoon and some made me laugh. I thoroughly enjoyed it and recommend it to romance lovers.

i thought the concept of this book was really good. i found their world fascinating which is set underwater and i wanted to experience it muself so i really loved that.

Evelyn was fine but i didnt feel particularly anything for her. She was kinda boring to be honest. Gavin was ok too - more likable than her for sure. Their romance felt kinda too soon for me and i liked them together bit didnt care that much about it. It didnt make me swoon or anything.

The plot mostly revolves around them trying to escape that world and go to the surface. It was good with some twists that kept you hooked. I absolutely hated the Mother. She was proper messed up in the head and i just wanted to kill her but i think she was a good villain.

Overall, i love dystopian books so liked this one as well. I think the sequel will be quite interesting, getting to see a different sid eof their universe.

WOW! WHAT AN ABSOLUTELY AMAZING AND HEARTBREAKING STORY! i LOVED every little part of it. I cant even describe how perfect this book is and how much i love it. I cant remember loving all the characters so much and being so emotionally connected to them in a book in a while.

Nastya is a broken girl - she has suffered through soemthing badly before and completely turned away from her old life. She is silent and untouchable. No one knows the real her and she doesnt want anyone to. She is angry and closed off and detached from others and wears a facade of someone else to keep everyone at bay, but is so amazing on the inside. She was such an interesting and different character to read about. She is so emotionally broken and no one understood her or could help her. I loved her from the start and really felt for her. At the same time i found her narration of the book just soo funny that i couldnt stop myself from laughing.

Josh is the loner boy - he isnt friends with anyone (except Drew) and has also had a tragic life. He is very similar to Nastya in that way; keeps to himself and is damaged on the inside. I lobed him so much!! HE deserves a big hug and i just love him to pieces. Their relationship is a slow build up and i enjoyed every part of it. They start off not really liking each other but somehow end up spending time together anyway, until gradually, they become closer and closer. Their interaction was swoon worthy and they are just so perfect together. Its obvious to everyone except them how much they love each other.

Drew is also one of my fav characters. He starts off as a stereotypical school flirt who is constantly shamelessly hitting on Nastya all the time but his character develops so much throughout the book. He is soo FUNNY and an asshole as well but i loved him to pieces. I also really liked how he becomes really close friends with Nastya and is such a great part of the book. His friendship with Josh is really great too and i loved the chemistry between all the characters.

There are other people who also play a part in the plot. There is Clay who i really liked who is obsessed with drawing Nastya, then there is Sarah who is Drew's sister that i didnt like that much. Asher is Nastya's brother who i really liked as well.

The whole story is stunningly beautiful. There are moments that make you laugh and other parts that make you cry. Lots of drama but mostly its about Nastya as she evolves throughout the story. You really become attatched to the characters and feel their pain. Its a book that u cant forget about long after you've finished it. I m seriously sad that i have fisnihed it and wont get anymore of these wonderful charcaters anymore. Its one of my fav books of 2012 and highly recommended to everyone!

I really liked this book but there were also parts where i got bored with it or frustrated at the story. It starts off really good; Karou is working with the white wolf - Thiago - and ressurecting Chimaera for him while Akiva is off working with the angels. The whole book is building towards a war that is no doubt on the horizon.

I loved Karou in the first book and loved her again in this. She is just so kickass and independant and headstrong. I also liked how she didnt just forgive Akiva right away for killing Brimstone like a lot of YA heroines might have done. What i didnt get was why she was workig with the White wolf who was obviously untrustworthy and had his own motives and it annoyed me with her for making such a bad decision.

Akiva has his own problems to deal with and was in the book plenty but what it lacked was interaction between him and Karou. They have like two scenes together in the entire book and thats only like in the last thrid of the book. I was excited to see how their relationship would change in this but was let down.

There is, however, plenty of action that you will love and lots of stuff goes down in this book. Zuzana and Mik are back too who are like my fav characters in this book cuz they are so lighthearted and funny. What i didnt like was the fact that so many other characters were thrown into the mix and their stories that i didnt really care about and was just itching to get back to Karou and Akiva.

Overall it was pretty good and the cliffhanger at the end was amazing. I will definitely be looking forward to the sequel as i really wnat to know where the story goes.

Deity by Jennifer l Armentrout

OMG!!!! THAT WAS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! I have always loved this series and am amazed at how they keep getting better and better. This book was perfect and kept me completely hooked till i finished it. It starts off with Alex only weeks away from her awakening and things are getting more an more complicated. Minister Telly is hot on her trail about the guard that she and Aiden killed, her connection with Seth is becoming freakier and freakier and she also finds out something crucial about her father.

The love triangle continues and while i really liked Seth before, i absolutely LOVE Aiden!!! He is soo cute and adorable and protective and HOT! I love him so much now and Alex and Aiden are perfect together. Their romance gets so much more steamier and they finally get together. Seth on the other hand had the opposite reaction. He is such a traitor and stabs Alex in the back that i hated him! He's always had two sides; a funny, nice one and an asshole one and that side completely takes over. Its like he transformed into a different person and i wanted to punch him really hard for some of the things he did.

Alex has always ben awesome to read about and i loved her in this too. One of the my new fav characters now is Leon. He is just so awesome and i wanna read more about him. Other characters like Deacon, Lucian, Linard and Marcus all play some sort of part in the story.

There is just so much going on this book with lots of twists and turns and huge revelations. There is more stuff revealed on the appolyon and their history that makes it really interesting. There was tonnes of action and romance in this that i loved and wanna read it again and again.

The ending is killer! i m gonna die waiting for the sequel to come out cuz i need to find out what happens next!!! This is definitely the best in the series so far and i'll be in agony waiting for the next one.
